I have had the idea for this painting from the same period in 2005 as some of my earlier appreciated paintings (ie. accidental beheading of a topiary llama, cowboy luke etc.). Much to my dismay though it never seems to be quite right. It has been with me for 2 years now, the bane of my existence, mocking me. Elements change and morph reminding me how much my style has evolved. So here it is from initial sketch to now. It may never be finished, but 24 months and 2 states later it's getting there.
